What are the inspirations for Aacute products and where are they made?
Aacute jewellery and candles are handmade from design to product finishing in Melbourne with carefully sourced materials.
The distinct colour and style range of the jewellery was founded on various influences, one of which was Melbourne’s vibrant local community and the other, a love of travelling the globe. The carefully considered mixed materials of metals and coloured polymer aims to allow the wearer feel a sense of play and a sense of elegance in the everyday.
How about the other products you stock?
Aacute has carefully curated products from local and international makers and brands. In all cases they have been selected for either their handmade factor or intent to reduce landfill by being a quality product.
Where did the name Aacute come from?
Julie and Kelly have a third sister, named Cathy. We are three very close sisters and Cathy thought it would be a great idea to name our sibling trio after a triangle. However Acute with one A was already taken so we added an extra A, like the name Aaron. We like it a lot better!
Where else can we find Aacute products?
Aacute is based online, and Aacute jewellery stocked at selected independent stores, and partakes in major design markets nationally. Please see our stockists’ page.
How do I get the best burn of the candles?
Please see our full care page here.
How do I look after Aacute jewellery?
Aacute jewellery should be handled with care. When storing, pieces should always be put back in the protective gift box after wear and while travelling. Jewellery should be stored away from direct sunlight, moisture and extreme temperature (over 35 degrees) to prolong the colour and durability of the pieces.
To restore extra shine on your jewellery, lightly buff the surface with a lint free jewellery cloth.
