Beginning at craft markets in 2012, Julie Tran started selling her homemade jewellery alongside her candlemaker sister, Kelly. Their weekly appearances helped them to develop the Aacute name and cultivate a loyal fanbase, many of whom still shop with them today.
With a love for detail and distinction, Julie has learnt how to beautifully capture the variations in her materials. Her jewellery takes inspiration from nature and architectural design, with each piece carrying a glimpse of Aacute's signature individuality.
Still handmade by Julie in her Melbourne studio, Aacute jewellery has been proudly stocked in boutiques and gallery design stores internationally, including MoMA Design Store USA (Japan) and The Conran Shop (UK).
A small business backed by the philosophy of slow and sustainable practices, Aacute focuses on nurturing customer relationships and creating timeless designs. From creatively curating the Aacute range to sharing in exciting collaborations, Julie has created a welcoming space for thoughtful purchasers.
Aacute also stocks a range of goods and homewares, with each brand representing Julie's passion for handmade, high quality, or locally produced.
